Key Responsibilities

• Develop and apply Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies while exemplifying best practices for staff.
• Act as a vital member of interdisciplinary teams, providing specialized behavioral insights.
• Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, to cater to client needs.
• Create, implement, and supervise individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
• Deliver direct behavioral interventions, focusing on skill acquisition, social training, and crisis de-escalation techniques.
• Monitor and evaluate challenging behaviors, instituting interventions to mitigate their frequency.
• Train staff in crisis management and methods to minimize restraint occurrences.
• Engage with committees such as the Behavior Intervention Committee and Human Rights Committee.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and organizational standards.
  
  

Required Skills

• Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is essential.
• Education: A Master’s or Doctorate in Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in data management and computer operations, ensuring precise record-keeping.
• Strong communication abilities, capable of effectively conveying information in both individual and group settings.
