Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and scientific guidance to elevate the biomarker services provided by the department.
- Engage with clients to address inquiries regarding biomarker services, ensuring timely and satisfactory responses.
- Collaborate with operational teams and clients in the design, execution, and assessment of studies, maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Showcase the department’s biomarker service offerings to potential clients, emphasizing our expertise.
- Participate in audits and prepare necessary responses to findings.
- Represent the organization in technical and trade forums to promote our leadership and identify new business opportunities.
- Stay informed of scientific advancements and regulatory changes in the biomarker field, providing insights for strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for publications or presentations to highlight the company’s biomarker expertise.
- Contribute to operational planning and continuous process improvements within the biomarker services department.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Proven expertise in biomarker science and biopharmaceutical testing techniques such as Simoa, ELLA, MSD, and ELISA.
- Strong management and communication skills with the capability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
- Comprehensive understanding of GLP, FDA guidelines, and/or CLIA regulations.
- Excellent client-focused approach.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- PhD or equivalent in biological sciences or related fields.
- 10 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, particularly in biopharmaceutical testing.
- Experience in a GLP environment is essential.
- Familiarity with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered as a substitute for the qualifications listed above.
