Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Clinical Manager to lead our clinical operations and provide oversight to our skilled counseling team. This pivotal leadership position focuses on delivering top-notch adolescent substance abuse treatment, fostering staff development, and ensuring adherence to all necessary accreditation and regulatory standards. Your contributions will significantly impact the professional growth of our team and support the recovery journeys of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the clinical treatment program to fulfill regulatory obligations and comply with organizational policies.
  • Supervise and mentor clinical staff to ensure adherence to licensing standards and funding requirements.
  • Evaluate clinical treatment and documentation, ensuring alignment with care standards, billing, and insurance mandates.
  • Lead therapeutic activities and interventions, managing situations involving disturbed or aggressive behaviors.
  • Facilitate staff training, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing support for team success.
  • Collaborate with various departments to optimize staffing and resource distribution.
  • Participate in continual learning and development opportunities for both yourself and the clinical team.
  • Address client concerns and operational challenges, sustaining a nurturing and constructive environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and show respect for all team members and clients.
  • Engage in the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program, pinpointing areas for enhancement and driving necessary changes.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and developing clinical teams.
  • Proficient counseling, documentation, and assessment capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively supervise and train clinical staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of substance abuse counseling and therapeutic community practices.
  • Familiarity with insurance, Medicaid, and state funding criteria.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook Calendar.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in counseling and program administration pertaining to addiction, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
