Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight to Day Treatment Clinicians and Counselors, ensuring top-tier counseling services and comprehensive treatment plans.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation relating to case narratives, service plans, and client discharges.
- Facilitate in-service training sessions for Clinicians and Counselors, recommending further professional development opportunities to the Executive Director.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Director to formulate and implement effective policies and procedures.
- Identify potential areas for enhancement and new service offerings within the clinical team.
- Conduct regular assessments through site and school visits to evaluate counselors' adherence to service plan requirements.
- Support and monitor the development and execution of client service plans by clinicians.
- Guarantee that all staff maintain current certifications and training as mandated.
- In the absence of the Clinician, be responsible for approving and conducting assessments.
- Proficient understanding of Day Treatment procedures and practices.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Skilled in training methodologies and performance assessments.
- Expertise in developing and implementing individualized service plans.
- Familiarity with standards of conduct and behavioral management principles.
- Competent in utilizing assessment tools and effective follow-up strategies.
- Knowledgeable about Medicaid regulations and Child Protective Service guidelines.
- Experience within the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.
- Master's Degree in Human Services or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of three years of experience in delivering casework services to children and families.
- Valid professional therapist or social worker license is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and registry check by the Department of Social Services.
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Behavior Management.
- A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and automobile insurance are necessary.
