Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Copy Director to elevate and define our brand's narrative across various platforms. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for creating compelling, engaging, and transformative messaging that reflects our mission, values, and premium market positioning. Your creativity will breathe life into marketing initiatives, product descriptions, social media outreach, website content, and email communications, effectively inspiring and motivating action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and evolution of our brand voice to ensure consistency across all communication channels.
  • Manage and mentor the creative copywriting team, guiding in-house writers and freelance contributors to produce high-quality content.
  • Develop strategic product naming and positioning to align with brand identity and market trends.
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with business goals.
  • Create and refine high-quality copy for marketing campaigns, product launches, digital advertisements, websites, social media, email communications, and packaging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Development, and eCommerce to ensure messaging aligns with broader business strategies.
  • Oversee editorial reviews to ensure content accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency.
  • Partner with Marketing and eCommerce teams to test and optimize messaging for better engagement and conversion rates.
  • Stay current on industry trends and audience insights to continually enhance brand messaging.

Required Skills

  • Extensive expertise in establishing and maintaining a distinctive brand voice across diverse channels.
  • A robust portfolio that showcases proficiency in both short-form and long-form copywriting across digital, print, and social media platforms.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in product naming and positioning within a consumer brand context.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Familiarity with the wellness, lifestyle, beauty, or consumer brand sectors is advantageous.
  • A strong passion for the industry, equipped with a deep understanding of how to convey brand values effectively.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional copywriting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and nurturing a team of writers and freelancers.
