In addition, you will be responsible for supporting essential data entry tasks that track progress within our program’s data management system.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct observations in classrooms to evaluate quality and identify areas for enhancement.
- Analyze data related to teaching methodologies and student advancement, informing your coaching strategies.
- Craft personalized coaching plans aimed at boosting educators’ teaching effectiveness.
- Deliver constructive feedback through coaching sessions and prepare reports on progress.
- Collaborate with educators using both in-person and virtual methods, including observation, modeling, co-teaching, and planning.
- Assist educators with curriculum implementation and utilize assessment tools like MyTeachingStrategies.
- Work collaboratively with leadership to plan and execute professional development training.
- Ensure prompt and precise data entry into various platforms like COPA, IWAS, and MyTeachingStrategies.
- Maintain open lines of communication with educators, site directors, and administrative personnel through phone and email.
- Engage in agency committees, contributing to initiatives that align with program goals.
- Support educators in fulfilling compliance requirements, including parent-teacher conferences and child assessments.
- Perform additional duties as required to meet program objectives.
- Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills to foster professional growth.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and application to enhance teaching practices.
- Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards, Illinois Early Learning Standards, and developmentally appropriate teaching methodologies.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 3-5 years in a role as an early childhood teacher, trainer, or coach, with a preference for experience with infants, toddlers, and twos.
