Key Responsibilities

As an MDS Director, you will be essential in managing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessment process and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans. Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and overseeing assessment reference dates with the MDS team and rehabilitation site manager.
• Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations concerning MDS completion and the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
• Monitoring documentation to uphold MDS coding accuracy within medical records.
• Maintaining timely and precise data entry of resident information into the computerized MDS program.
• Participating in interdisciplinary meetings to provide updates and maintain comprehensive records.
• Advising on policies and procedures to optimize compliance with pertinent guidelines.
• Training staff on MDS assessment processes as necessary.
• Responding to emergency situations in accordance with nursing protocols.

• A valid RN license in Maryland and RAC-CT certification.
