Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Support Medical Staff: Guide and mentor medical professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive work atmosphere.
- Clinical Oversight: Offer insights on complex medical cases, ensuring the implementation of high-quality diagnostic and treatment protocols.
- Staff Supervision: Monitor clinical staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and uphold organizational standards of care and professionalism.
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and other departmental leaders to execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care, including EPIC Optimization and Team-based Care.
- Commitment to Quality Care: Collaborate with the quality department to uphold and enhance the quality of healthcare services, ensuring patient satisfaction and access to vital services.
- Community Engagement: Actively engage with local stakeholders to address the distinctive healthcare needs of the community.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license (PA, FNP, MD, or DO) to practice in California.
- Board certification in a relevant primary care specialty.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and patients.
- Deep commitment to serving underserved populations with cultural sensitivity and compassion.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and quality improvement practices.
- Proficient in the use of Electronic Health Record systems.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare field, including at least 2 years in an ambulatory or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in staff management and program development.
- Strong dedication to patient-centered care.
