Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of accounts payable, including verification, coding, data entry, and payment authorization.
- Assist with credit card transactions, employee expense reports, and the reconciliation of statements.
- Prepare and review accounts payable reports to ensure precision and accuracy.
- Manage purchase orders, including issuance, verification, receipt, and reconciliation of project expenses.
- Provide support for raw material purchase orders, inventory adjustments, and month-end cost reconciliations.
- Address vendor and employee inquiries pertaining to invoices, expenses, and payment requests.
- Process bi-weekly payroll with an emphasis on accuracy and punctuality.
- Review and confirm timesheets while addressing payroll-related concerns promptly.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports utilizing the HRIS system.
- Assist with specialized accounting projects and upcoming software integrations.
- Provide front desk support when necessary, answering calls and assisting visitors.
- Conduct general clerical tasks, including filing, photocopying, mailing, and maintaining departmental records.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with NetSuite is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with solid numeracy and reconciliation skills.
- Prior experience in accounts payable, payroll processing, or bookkeeping is highly desirable.
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively.
- Previous experience in the construction or manufacturing sectors is a plus.
