Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute financial strategies that align with the organization's vision and objectives.
  • Supervise the preparation of financial reports, ensuring precision and adherence to accounting standards and non-profit regulations.
  • Direct budget preparation and forecasting processes, contributing to the sustainability of long-term financial health.
  • Offer strategic financial insights and counsel to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Enhance and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to protect assets and optimize financial operations.
  • Identify and manage financial risks, including investments, insurance, and reserves.
  • Lead the annual audit process, collaborating with auditors for timely and effective completion.
  • Present financial statements, reports, and key performance indicators to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with program directors and department heads to synchronize financial management with organizational aims.
  • Cultivate and oversee a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Aid fundraising and grant management initiatives by supervising financial elements of grant budgets, tracking, and reporting.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial management, with a strong preference for non-profit background.
  • In-depth knowledge of non-profit accounting principles, financial reporting mandates, and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in financial management software and analytical tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills, adept at articulating complex financial information clearly.
  • Capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • CPA certification is considered a plus.
