Key Responsibilities
- Act as the internal consultant and strategic business partner to evaluate current technology requirements and formulate a strategic IT plan, emphasizing cloud-first, secure, and GMP-compliant solutions.
- Spearhead the management and refinement of data collection, transfer, and quality processes from both internal and external sources to enhance business decision-making.
- Oversee IT security and governance measures, guaranteeing data integrity, security, and audit trail functionality for validated systems while protecting against unauthorized access and breaches. Ensure adherence to industry regulations such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GMP, and GxP.
- Implement technical solutions, tools, and process enhancements, which include the installation, setup, and upkeep of software, hardware, and network systems while following company policies and industry regulations.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, ensuring peak performance and optimal service delivery.
- Provide IT support across the entire employee/user lifecycle and proactively address evolving technology needs.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to synchronize IT initiatives with functional goals, objectives, and timelines.
- Extensive understanding of GMP/GxP environments.
- Deep expertise in cloud-based infrastructure design and services.
- Outstanding leadership, management, and communication abilities, capable of guiding internal stakeholders and handling external partners and vendors.
- Proficient in translating technical concepts into accessible language for diverse audiences, with a focus on mentoring others and promoting knowledge sharing.
- A solutions-oriented and customer-centric mindset.
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related field; certifications and/or advanced degrees are advantageous.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in leadership positions scaling IT functions within early-stage biopharma organizations entering clinical stages.
- Proven hands-on experience in the validation of software, hardware, laboratory, production, and manufacturing systems.
