We are seeking a strategic and visionary leader for the position of Vice President of Information Technology (VP of IT). In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the oversight of the organization's IT systems, infrastructure, and technology initiatives while directly reporting to the CEO. As the VP of IT, you will collaborate with the executive team to ensure alignment of technology with business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and spearhead the digital transformation of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute an innovative IT strategy that aligns with the company's growth and long-term goals.
  • Identify and implement technological advancements to elevate customer experiences and improve operational performance.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for the executive team regarding emerging technology trends, potential risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead comprehensive IT assessments and risk evaluations during acquisition processes.
  • Supervise the management and efficacy of critical IT systems such as ERP, CRM, Business Intelligence, and warehouse management systems, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Direct the planning, execution, and maintenance of enterprise-wide applications and infrastructure.
  • Establish and uphold IT governance policies and standards throughout the organization.
  • Assess, design, and implement effective network, system, and application architectures.
  • Manage diverse infrastructures (cloud, hybrid, and on-premises) with an emphasis on security, systems, and data best practices.
  • Enhance application integration architecture to streamline operational workflows.
  • Construct and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and guide team members to ensure their professional development aligns with the organization's objectives.
  • Protect the security and integrity of the company's IT systems, data, and networks by implementing robust cybersecurity measures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Champion the adoption of digital technologies to optimize supply chain efficiency, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate the modernization of legacy systems, integrating advanced analytics, AI, and IoT solutions as needed.
  • Support marketing initiatives through the implementation of e-commerce strategies to extend market reach.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors, consultants, and service providers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
  • Oversee contract negotiations and compliance, while developing and managing the IT budget in alignment with financial goals and business priorities.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record in leading large-scale IT transformations that yield tangible business benefits.
  • Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., Infor CloudSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and warehouse technology.
  • Knowledge of AI technologies that enhance supply chain logistics, warehouse robotics, marketing, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience managing IT budgets exceeding $3M, with the ability to provide detailed analyses and justifications for expenses.
  • Proficiency in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, data management, and warehouse technologies.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years in IT leadership roles, with at least 3 years in an executive or senior management capacity.
  • Experience in the industrial distribution sector or similar industries is highly desirable.
