Key Responsibilities
- Lead the medical diagnosis and treatment processes, ensuring outstanding care and patient outcomes.
- Manage daily medical operations, maintaining compliance with clinical standards while delivering exceptional patient service.
- Conduct chart reviews and direct observations, adhering to VA guidelines to uphold superior clinical results.
- Cultivate a positive environment for patients, colleagues, and visitors, both in-person and via phone.
- Drive the clinic's financial success through effective resource management and performance oversight.
- Support outreach initiatives aimed at enhancing patient enrollment and retention.
- Maintain optimal staffing levels in alignment with patient needs and operational objectives.
- Regularly assess clinic performance metrics and take proactive measures to exceed VA benchmarks.
- Oversee recruitment, mentoring, and the professional development of clinic staff.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with VA affiliates while staying informed of key developments.
- Champion the implementation of clinical and operational initiatives aligned with strategic goals.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Board-certified in family practice or internal medicine.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of desired employment or U.S. territory.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Current and unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with strong computer abilities to manage various levels of communication.
- A minimum of 4 years of clinical medical practice; prior healthcare management experience is preferred, particularly within a government healthcare setting.
- Exceptional leadership skills, demonstrated by an energetic and optimistic demeanor, alongside a service-oriented mindset committed to high service standards.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to addressing patient, colleague, and client concerns in a timely manner.
