Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the nursing staff to guarantee outstanding patient care.
- Conduct initial nursing assessments within 24 hours of patient admission and perform ongoing reassessments throughout their stay.
- Design and implement personalized treatment plans that cater to each patient’s unique needs.
- Administer medications and execute medical treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Coordinate effective discharge planning to facilitate seamless transitions for patients.
- Ensure adherence to documentation and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and external health and social agencies to formulate comprehensive care plans.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Monitor performance, carry out evaluations, and ensure staff competency training.
- Uphold high standards of care by following therapeutic guidelines and tracking health outcomes.
- Promote operational efficiency by managing clinical staffing and ensuring equipment maintenance.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is mandatory.
- Active RN license in Alabama or a multi-state compact license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral health nursing.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities, adept at managing challenging situations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
