Job Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join our esteemed critical illness recovery hospital. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee a skilled clinical team focused on delivering exceptional care for patients facing chronic and critical health challenges, particularly those transitioning from intensive care. You will work closely with senior leadership to improve the experiences of both patients and staff, driving quality enhancements and promoting a culture of respect, innovation, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume the role of primary clinical leader, advocating for exemplary standards of patient care.
  • Collaborate with executive teams and human resources to tackle operational challenges and staffing requirements.
  • Mentor and uplift senior nursing personnel to enhance the quality of patient care.
  • Ensure optimal staffing ratios and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory and rehabilitation departments, to maintain superior patient care.
  • Manage fiscal responsibilities by overseeing budgets and controlling expenses without compromising care quality.
  • Foster a supportive, respectful, and engaging workplace that prioritizes the well-being of all team members.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in ventilator management, hemodynamics, critical drips, endotracheal tubes, and wound care.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, strong problem-solving aptitude, and a steadfast commitment to quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory.
  • A Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related healthcare field is required, or candidates may be enrolled in a Master's program (with potential exceptions to be approved by senior leadership).
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience within a hospital setting.
  • Preferred: At least three years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Must possess an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
