Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all construction activities, working in collaboration with division leaders and project teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Work closely with site Superintendents to identify the most efficient and cost-effective construction methods and schedules.
- Forge and maintain robust relationships with clients to guarantee their satisfaction.
- Review project drawings and specifications, ensuring alignment with plans and timelines.
- Assist in the preparation of job estimates and interpretation of bid documents.
- Draft subcontracts and purchase order requisitions as necessary.
- Establish and manage project schedules, ensuring that all key milestones are achieved in partnership with the Superintendent.
- Oversee the submittal and RFI processes, ensuring timely reviews and approvals.
- Manage project budgets to ensure fiscal success and provide regular updates on job costs.
- Collaborate with the team to develop strategies that enhance productivity and reduce project costs.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and monitor site compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to coordinate effectively with the site Superintendent.
- Act as the primary liaison for all assigned projects, maintaining direct communication with project owners and teams.
- Participate in project meetings and deliver updates on project status.
- Strong comprehension of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Experience with contracts and the construction procurement process.
- Capability to interpret job estimates, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient communication skills for preparing reports, business correspondence, and summaries.
- Exceptional organizational skills to coordinate projects, teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Ability to cultivate positive relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Keen attention to detail and a critical thinking mindset to explore alternative solutions as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the commercial construction field.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and familiar with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Sage).
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (to be obtained within the first 60 days if not already held).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel, with approximately 30% of the time allocated to overseeing projects across Florida.
