Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the implementation of a robust vulnerability management program, ensuring the security of on-premises, cloud, and third-party assets.
- Lead a high-performing team, promoting a culture of mentorship, collaboration, and excellence.
- Administer and fine-tune vulnerability and configuration management tools for both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Establish and execute key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of the vulnerability management strategy and inform remediation efforts.
- Proactively monitor critical vulnerabilities and emerging threats, ensuring that effective risk management processes are operational.
- Cultivate interdepartmental relationships to expedite vulnerability remediation and reduce response times for high-risk issues.
- Participate in external exposure assessments to identify, analyze, and communicate security threats that may impact the organization.
- Articulate intricate security concepts to audiences of varying technical proficiency, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of risks and remediation strategies.
- Enhance reporting and metrics for vulnerability management to drive proactive approaches to remediation.
- Offer insights on tool enhancements and contribute to the evolution of global security strategies.
- Proficiency in vulnerability management platforms (e.g., Rapid 7, Qualys, Tenable).
- Experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools (e.g., Prisma, Wiz, Orca).
- Familiarity with security information & event management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Chronicle, Splunk, ELK).
- Knowledge of attack surface management solutions (e.g., Falcon, Tenable, Shodan, Censys).
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex security concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's degree with 9 years of industry experience, a Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with 4 years of applicable experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in information security, with a minimum of three years in a leadership capacity overseeing vulnerability management teams.
- Proven ability to drive vulnerability remediation efforts and shorten resolution timelines, particularly for critical vulnerabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of vulnerability management strategies, standards, and technologies for both infrastructural and application-level concerns.
- Strong grasp of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and associated security implications.
- Experience in analyzing extensive datasets for insights and reporting.
