Key Responsibilities

• Advocate for veterans seeking service-connected disability benefits.
• Review medical and service records to prepare cases effectively.
• Prepare clients for testimony and guide them through the hearing process.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft hearing briefs, motions, and writs.
• Manage approximately 15 hearings before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA) each month while ensuring deadlines are met.
• Collaborate closely with your case manager and the VA Supervising Attorney to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong legal research capabilities and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with technology, including word processing and case management software.
• Ability to adapt and troubleshoot technical challenges during virtual hearings.

Qualifications

• Must be currently admitted to the bar in a U.S. state or territory.
• VA accreditation is preferred, as is prior experience in Veterans Disability or Social Security law.
