Key Responsibilities
- Manage a focused caseload of home studies and post-release services as required.
- Supervise staff to ensure adherence to all established policies, procedures, and timelines.
- Oversee the department's Home Study and PRS Level III cases.
- Track and report on progress toward anticipated outcomes, implementing strategies for improvement as necessary.
- Assess and recommend additional support or resources to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Provide strategic guidance on trauma-informed crisis intervention and connect families to suitable services.
- Evaluate staff recommendations regarding sponsors’ capacity to provide a safe environment for children.
- Facilitate the coordination and scheduling of interviews, home visits, and staff travel.
- Maintain precise documentation and protect confidential information.
- Report any concerns regarding children, sponsors, or significant incidents to the relevant authorities.
- Engage in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.
- Travel as required to meet program demands and conduct staff meetings at various locations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for in-person engagements.
- A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or an equivalent degree in psychology, sociology, or related behavioral sciences, along with 2 years of post-graduate direct service experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree in one of the aforementioned fields accompanied by 6 years of clinical employment experience.
- Significant experience in clinical supervision, with the requisite license to oversee clinical services.
- Familiarity with family preservation, kinship care, trauma-informed care, child welfare policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Preferred experience in conducting home studies, providing post-release services, and working with immigrant populations.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written) is mandatory.
