Key Responsibilities
- Address incoming calls from Veterans, facilitating phone orders that may include multiple transactions.
- Process, track, and manage customer orders using Outlook email, scanner technology, and our Remote Order Entry System (ROES).
- Respond to customer inquiries via email, ensuring prompt and informative communications through Outlook.
- Confirm shipment tracking details to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of orders.
- Collect necessary information from customers to ensure precise order placement.
- Conduct professional and courteous telephone interviews to resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
- Efficiently navigate vendor websites to find specific manufacturer information, product guides, and related materials.
- Manage credit card transactions associated with orders and ensure secure processing.
- Provide guidance to customers on the ROES software, assisting them as needed.
- Offer technical and administrative support, including ordering processes and issue resolution.
- Superior verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and engage customers effectively.
- Strong written communication abilities, including proficient knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation for correspondences with Veterans.
- Proficient in using Outlook and other communication tools.
- Customer-oriented mindset, capable of interacting respectfully and empathetically with Veterans.
- Competence in navigating vendor websites and utilizing ROES for order management.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- At least six months of experience in customer service roles is required.
