Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review Family Law documents, including pleadings, financial affidavits, initial disclosures, and discovery responses.
- Organize and manage case files, legal records, and client documents using electronic systems.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, attorneys, judicial offices, and opposing counsel.
- Schedule important legal appointments such as hearings and depositions while maintaining a well-organized calendar.
- Conduct legal research and assist attorneys in the preparation of cases.
- Interact with clients via phone, Zoom, or Google Meet to gather essential information.
- E-file legal documents and oversee document retrieval from state and local agencies.
- In-depth understanding of Florida State Law and legal procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in e-filing, document drafting, and conducting legal research.
- Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are highly encouraged to apply.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant specializing in Family Law.
- A Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate is preferred.
- Availability during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, within the Eastern Time Zone.
- Experience with Florida courts, particularly in Miami, Broward, and Palm Beach counties, is preferred.
