Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephonic triage and assessments, offering immediate support for a range of issues, including behavioral health, substance use, relationship challenges, and work-life balance.
- Manage case intakes with professionalism, ensuring timely follow-up to meet member needs.
- Make informed clinical decisions in accordance with established risk policies to achieve optimal member outcomes.
- Provide appropriate referrals to network providers or other crucial resources for financial, legal, or personal support.
- Facilitate intake assessments, triage, coaching, and brief solution-focused counseling via phone or telehealth.
- Collaborate with service providers for seamless session referrals and authorizations, diligently monitoring cases through to completion.
- Utilize a computer-based case management system to professionally document all interactions and activities.
- Engage with client HR teams and supervisors to address employee concerns and offer guidance.
- Strong telephonic counseling abilities.
- Proficiency in effective case management.
- Competence in conducting triages and assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clinical decision-making aligned with risk management policies.
- A Master's degree in a behavioral health discipline such as social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of post-master’s clinical experience as an EAP counselor or equivalent behavioral health practitioner.
