Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Enhance the organization's security framework by integrating cutting-edge technologies, such as self-service biometrics and artificial intelligence. Stay informed regarding external trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risks, and formulate actionable strategies to address them. Develop and implement both long-term and short-term plans to thwart fraud, mitigate security risks, and recover losses when necessary.
- Leadership and Development: Cultivate a conducive work atmosphere that empowers employees to achieve their objectives. Champion the organization's mission and core values, ensuring a culture of excellence. Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of team members while managing performance evaluation and career advancement.
- Technology, Equipment, and Research: Equip the team with state-of-the-art tools and technologies to fulfill the organization's security objectives. Supervise the department’s business continuity strategies and promote the adoption of effective technologies.
- Budget Management: Direct the department's budget by forecasting expenditures, optimizing resource allocation, and monitoring financial performance.
- Project Management: Spearhead and coordinate security-focused projects across various departments, ensuring timely completion and achievement of goals. Collaborate with other teams to prioritize solutions and effectively manage cross-functional initiatives.
- Security Oversight: Administer both physical and digital security programs, ensuring adherence to the organization's safety and security protocols. Continuously assess areas for potential enhancement and implement improvements.
- Compliance and Enforcement: Remain updated on fraud and security trends, regulatory modifications, and best practices. Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws.
- Training and Awareness: Collaborate with internal and external partners to design an ongoing training initiative that fosters a culture of security throughout the organization. Ensure staff are equipped to recognize threats, respond to incidents, and uphold compliance with security protocols.
- Education: A relevant degree (Master's preferred) or certifications in a pertinent field. Certification as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience: A minimum of 12 years in physical security and criminal investigations, with a comprehension of digital security risks.
