Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive electrical systems, including power, lighting, and distribution networks, as well as heat tracing and semiconductor manufacturing equipment installations.
- Undertake Instrumentation and Control (I&C) design by specifying suitable instruments, developing point management databases, and coordinating instrument tagging nomenclature with mechanical and chemical engineering teams.
- Engineer low voltage systems encompassing telecommunications, life safety, and security applications.
- Conduct thorough engineering studies for power and low voltage systems, analyze existing conditions, evaluate system capabilities, and recommend enhancements or upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful design and execution of projects.
- Author technical documentation and engineering reports to support project goals.
- Perform site investigations to capture field conditions and verify designs.
- Program control systems (PLC, DCS, DDC) and configure OIT/SCADA systems.
- Set up field devices, including VFDs, instruments, and OEM devices.
- Proven results-driven mindset, committed to delivering projects on schedule and at the highest quality standards.
- Strong interest in continuous professional development and a proactive approach to learning.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a collaborative team-oriented approach.
- Outstanding organizational capabilities, adept at following directives and meeting deadlines for projects.
- Capacity to manage project requirements from initial scoping through to design and commissioning.
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as an independent designer/engineer, particularly in advanced technology and industrial sectors.
- EIT certification or PE registration is welcomed but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, electrical system modeling software (e.g., SKM, EasyPower), and PLC/DCS/SCADA systems is highly regarded.
