We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Party Chief to become an integral part of our team. In this pivotal role, you will manage field surveying operations, guaranteeing accuracy and dependability throughout the survey process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of survey professionals in executing construction staking and various field survey tasks.
- Conduct surveys in diverse environments, including aquatic settings, to fulfill project requirements.
- Set up, operate, and routinely verify the functionality of survey instruments, including data collectors, digital levels, and GPS technology.
- Perform and validate mathematical calculations related to surveys.
- Maintain comprehensive and precise field notes and sketches.
- Carry out stakeout and location surveys utilizing industry-standard equipment.
- Ensure the maintenance of survey equipment and that the survey vehicle is well-equipped with all essential supplies and tools.
- Mentor and assist junior team members to enhance their technical proficiency.
- Conduct accuracy checks and calibrate all survey instruments.
- Proficient in Trimble Access, Trimble Business Center, Trimble robotic total stations, and Trimble GPS systems.
- Familiarity with Trimble survey methodologies, site calibration routines, and surveying techniques.
- Knowledge of field procedures, including boundary and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
- Experience in conducting various survey types such as boundary, topographic, roadway corridor, control, and as-built surveys.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and in high-traffic areas.
- Willingness to travel for fieldwork as necessary.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a survey party chief role.
