Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the regional president and division management to formulate, evaluate, and refine the annual business plan and quarterly forecasts, assuring transparency and precision.
- Analyze and streamline land pipeline, land development budgets, and schedules to facilitate efficient project management and optimal market positioning.
- Assess sales margins and work with divisions to rectify any performance deficits, implementing strategies for improved outcomes.
- Review monthly financial results, identify variances from the annual plan, and provide insights along with actionable recommendations for enhancement.
- Conduct post-acquisition project evaluations to compare actual results against expectations, recognizing trends and areas for advancement.
- Deliver analytical support to elevate operational efficiency, minimize costs, and amplify revenue opportunities.
- Evaluate pricing strategies, including base prices and lot premiums, ensuring alignment with market competitiveness and demand.
- Partner with division purchasing teams to decrease direct costs, monitor commodity pricing, and optimize procurement strategies.
- Lead regional initiatives aimed at process improvements, establishing standardized operational procedures.
- Support merger and acquisition (M&A) endeavors, encompassing due diligence, market analysis, and integration processes.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Accounting team to prepare division financial statements and guarantee accurate disclosures.
- Supervise internal control measures and accounting practices within the region to maintain consistency and compliance.
- Assist regional and divisional departments with special projects and additional duties as necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (mandatory).
- MBA and CPA credentials preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in residential homebuilding, land development, or construction.
- Operational and financial experience with public homebuilders is advantageous.
- Familiarity with NewStar and IBM TM1 is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong ability to manage projects and responsibilities effectively.
- A proactive approach and readiness to undertake supplementary duties.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to nurture effective relationships with vendors, suppliers, and team members.
- Willingness to travel nationwide as required.
