Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied portfolio of illiquid credit investments, overseeing business and financial performance metrics while staying abreast of market trends.
- Review and analyze financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and covenant agreements to inform decision-making.
- Negotiate and finalize amendments, waivers, consents, and other legal documentation pertinent to asset management during both out-of-court and in-court restructuring scenarios.
- Develop, negotiate, and execute strategies for asset sales or refinancing initiatives.
- Engage and communicate with C-suite executives and other critical stakeholders to maintain alignment on objectives.
- Supervise the monthly valuation of all assigned investments.
- Act as a “Player Coach,” balancing the management of complex assets with the mentorship and guidance of team members and analysts.
- Collaborate closely with the Front Office, Asset Management, Finance, and Operations divisions.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports detailing transaction structures, financial projections, and restructuring recommendations.
- Partner with senior leadership to facilitate team expansion as the asset portfolio enlarges.
- Profound expertise in fundamental credit analysis, negotiation, and loan documentation.
- Extensive familiarity with legal processes, including bankruptcy and UCC foreclosure, with the capacity to direct legal professionals through restructuring procedures.
- Demonstrated capability in managing diverse and intricate credit structures, particularly illiquid transactions across multiple sectors.
- Exceptional writing skills, enabling the creation of clear and succinct memoranda.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel modeling.
- Strong industry connections with contacts at financial advisory firms and law offices.
- High personal integrity coupled with a robust work ethic. A cooperative team player with a constructive attitude.
- 7-10 years of dedicated experience in credit and restructuring functions.
- Comprehensive background in managing illiquid transactions across various industries.
