Job Overview

In this pivotal role, you will engage in lead generation, assist in the creation of sales materials, and maintain our customer database, while also managing various administrative duties to ensure the VP's operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in proactive lead generation through cold calling and diverse outreach methods.
  • Create persuasive sales presentations, brochures, product data sheets, and other marketing collateral.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales trends, and potential leads, focusing on aiding customers with rebate incentive applications.
  • Efficiently manage the VP's calendar, organizing meetings and appointments.
  • Oversee meeting logistics, set agendas, and coordinate details for effective execution.
  • Manage the VP's correspondence, ensuring professionalism in all communication channels.
  • Plan and arrange travel itineraries for the VP as required.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and knowledgeable responses.
  • Assist customers in order processing, ensuring accuracy and tracking.
  • Proactively address customer concerns, upholding high service standards.
  • Guide customers through the rebate application process related to our offerings.
  • Generate accurate invoices for customer billing and prepare detailed packing slips for shipments.
  • Monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding invoices diligently.
  • Engage with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and maintain ongoing relationships.
  • Collect and compile customer feedback to enhance service quality continuously.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and securing referrals.

Required Skills

  • Solid experience in sales support or administrative roles, preferably within the lighting sector.
  • Exceptional organizational capabilities with a knack for multitasking effectively.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and various office applications.
  • A customer-centric mindset coupled with strong analytical problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
