Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations for cash, investments, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, and accrued expenses.
- Recording monthly investment transactions and validating bank deposits.
- Preparing documentation for annual audits, tax filings, and reports, while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and specialized financial requirements.
- Supporting the management of quarterly and annual filings at state, federal, and local levels.
- Generating and reconciling monthly departmental financial reports, in addition to responding to ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Ensuring seamless coordination between accounting databases and banking systems.
- Aiding in tracking and managing annual enrollment contracts for families.
- Conducting research and general accounting tasks to meet deadlines.
- Communicating effectively with vendors, faculty, staff, and parents as required.
- Staying current with advancements in accounting regulations and identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
