We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in Geismar, LA. This role is designed for a seasoned accounting professional eager to elevate their career by leading financial operations and aiding the Controller in managing comprehensive accounting responsibilities across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the entry of transactions, ensuring thorough reviews and approvals as required.
- Prepare and document journal entries for ongoing transactions and monthly closing procedures.
- Conduct general ledger account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
- Process manual and ACH payments that are outside of accounts payable and purchasing activities.
- Confirm and monitor billable transactions to ensure precise accrual and reporting.
- Assist in crafting financial statements and comprehensive reporting.
- Oversee the preparation, filing, and maintenance of essential reporting, permits, and registrations.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements to improve accounting software functionality.
- Execute other related duties as necessary.
- Robust management and supervisory capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management competencies.
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping is required.

Compensation And Benefits
- Salary: \(60,000 - \)80,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
