In this capacity, you will address a diverse array of estate planning issues, encompassing wills, trusts, estate tax, gift tax, and corporate law considerations. You will collaborate closely with high-net-worth clientele, providing strategic legal counsel to fulfill their estate planning objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer expert legal advice on estate planning topics, including wills, trusts, estate tax, gift tax, and charitable giving strategies.
- Design and execute comprehensive estate plans for clients, ensuring alignment with their long-term financial and personal aspirations.
- Liaise with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to adopt a holistic approach to estate planning.
- Remain informed on developments in estate planning, tax legislation, and corporate law to furnish clients with insightful and effective legal strategies.
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Provide guidance on corporate legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and related business transactions.
- Represent clients in legal proceedings as needed.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar.
- 1-5 years of experience in estate planning, with a solid grasp of estate tax, gift tax, and corporate law.
- LLM in Estate Planning or Tax (preferred but not mandatory).
- Demonstrated capability to devise and implement estate plans for high-net-worth individuals and families.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of lasting client relationships.
- High degree of professionalism, ethical integrity, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience within the healthcare sector is a plus but not essential.
