Key Responsibilities
- Maintain precise and current financial records by processing daily transactions.
- Manage payments for case-related costs and operating expenses on an accrual basis.
- Conduct general ledger and trust account reconciliations to ensure account balance integrity.
- Execute monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Oversee the management of debits and credits to uphold comprehensive financial documentation.
- Process all deposits utilizing Remote Deposit Capture (RDC).
- Administer payroll processing and payroll tax deposits through EFTPS/ADP.
- Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns (Forms 941 and RT-6).
- Prepare annual payroll tax returns (Forms 940, W-2s, and W-3).
- Collaborate with a CPA firm to ensure accurate and timely tax submissions.
- Oversee 401(k) and Cash Balance retirement plans.
- Prepare and electronically submit year-end 1099-NEC forms.
- Demonstrated experience as a Bookkeeper, with a preference for experience in law firm and trust accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes.
- Knowledgeable in payroll procedures and regulations (ADP).
- Capacity to perform comprehensive financial analysis.
- A clean background check is essential.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Boca Raton, FL (remote work is not an option).
- Salary range: \(80,000-\)90,000
