We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounting Bookkeeper to join our dedicated team, specializing in the management of financial records for residential properties and condominium associations. If you are passionate about accuracy and possess a robust background in financial reporting, along with at least five years of experience using AppFolio accounting software, we invite you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain precise and updated financial records for various properties and associations.
- Collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and effective client communications.
- Develop and tailor financial report templates for each client.
- Prepare annual budgets in partnership with the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments, securing leadership approval.
- Reconcile journals and book balances against bank statements.
- Generate and compile monthly financial reports by the 10th of each month, including the Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Income Statement, Rent Rolls, and any necessary Ledger Reports.
- Upload reports to the client portal and distribute them via email as needed.
- Address inquiries from clients concerning financial reports and ensure high levels of service and support.
- Process monthly disbursements in line with established distribution policies.
- Collaborate with external CPA firms to facilitate year-end tax preparation.
- Contribute to the enhancement of company policies and procedures for the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments.
- Recommend strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is essential.
- A minimum of five years of hands-on experience with AppFolio accounting software is critical.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Demonstrated bookkeeping expertise, encompassing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll processing, invoice management, and financial reporting.
- At least three years of experience in property management accounting is required.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional attitude.
