Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of seasoned CPAs to prepare and review tax returns for small to mid-sized closely held businesses and individual clients, ensuring timely submissions.
- Independently manage and coordinate tax deliverables, including compliance, tax planning, advisory services, and tax research.
- Prepare documentation such as workpapers, client points, trial balances, journal entries, and year-end planning, along with client-specific advisory services.
- Conduct in-depth research on intricate tax issues while adhering to relevant IRS regulations.
- Develop proficiency in utilizing firm technology, tax software, and research tools to deliver effective tax services.
- Ensure all work aligns with the firm's standards for quality and compliance with professional conduct and tax regulations.
- Active CPA license (applications without a CPA certificate will not be considered).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in tax-related roles within public accounting.
- Strong expertise in tax compliance and accounting for income tax, along with a thorough understanding of U.S. taxation.
- Experience handling individual and business entity tax preparation and accounting.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong organizational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at conveying complex tax concepts with clarity.
