Key Responsibilities
- Accurately classify daily transactions and maintain clients’ financial records.
- Produce and present monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets, utilizing QuickBooks Online and other relevant tools as required.
- Maintain ledgers, balance sheets, income statements, and trial balances.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely and accurate payments and invoicing.
- Execute payroll functions, including wage calculations, deductions, and payroll tax filings.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
- Prepare financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for management review.
- Stay informed about financial regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Support audit processes by organizing and supplying required documentation.
- Monitor cash flow and report on financial health to senior management.
- Record transactions and prepare adjusting journal entries as necessary.
- Collaborate with tax preparers, accountants, and financial advisors to meet year-end obligations and complex financial requirements.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a comparable financial role.
- Strong knowledge of foundational accounting principles and financial practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting software.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
