Key Responsibilities
- Address inquiries related to premium invoicing and provide prompt assistance to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Conduct detailed analyses of over- or under-premium payments and prepare findings for executive review.
- Investigate and resolve member premium issues and discrepancies, proposing effective solutions.
- Develop SQL queries to reconcile diverse revenue streams, ensuring the accuracy of member account data.
- Manage disputes with payment vendors to guarantee timely application of funds to member accounts.
- Collaborate with vendors to generate and update premium billing notifications and member communications, in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with BPO vendors on system enhancements and business needs.
- Evaluate refund requests and overpayments, processing member refunds when necessary.
- Verify internal and external transactions to ensure accurate broker commission payments.
- Prepare month-end financial reports and journal entries for both financial and management reporting.
- Apply and interpret regulatory requirements concerning premium billing, member notifications, and revenue reconciliation.
- Foster and maintain robust relationships with internal teams, consistently reflecting organizational values.
- Adopt continuous improvement strategies by integrating LEAN principles into daily operations.
- Undertake additional responsibilities that support the achievements of Health Plan operations.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in premium billing, reconciliation, or financial reporting, ideally within managed care for commercial products.
- Proficient in SQL query creation and data analysis.
- Strong capabilities in Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at effective problem-solving.
- Solid analytical, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.
- High attention to detail and proactive approach to meeting deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized institution.
