This pivotal role requires a highly skilled and meticulous Senior Investment Accountant to manage the daily accounting operations of a multi-entity Family Office. The successful candidate will be instrumental in overseeing financial records for individuals, trusts, and foundations, ensuring precise, compliant, and efficient accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial and accounting tasks for numerous multi-asset class investment portfolios, including the management of trade processing and bookkeeping.
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate records for various entities, guaranteeing appropriate transaction processing.
• Lead the monthly closing procedures and prepare essential financial statements as required.
• Conduct in-depth research on investment portfolio securities and other pertinent accounting matters.
• Verify compliance with SEC regulations, prospectus restrictions, and appropriate accounting treatments.
• Collaborate closely with the tax department to support accurate recordkeeping and reporting.
• Act as the primary contact with investment service providers to enhance service delivery and maintain precise transaction records across diverse platforms.
• Drive the development and implementation of process enhancements to improve accounting workflows, integrating technological solutions as needed.
• Identify and escalate any discrepancies or issues associated with accounting records and valuations, supporting resolution efforts.
• Undertake special projects and assignments as necessary.
• Uphold confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information in line with privacy and regulatory standards.

• Provide oversight and guidance to the Family Office Investment Staff Accountant.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Active CPA certification is mandatory.
• 5-7 years of accounting experience, combining public and operational accounting roles.
• Familiarity with private equity, venture capital, or hedge fund investment accounting is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with advanced Excel capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational capabilities.
