Key Responsibilities
- Maintain precise ledgers and reconcile accounts.
- Monitor and document expenses, including cash receipts.
- Process accounts payable, ensuring alignment of purchase orders with vendor invoices, preparing payments, and overseeing bank balances.
- Review and reconcile franchise financial records to confirm accuracy.
- Manage accounts receivable by scanning and depositing checks, coordinating bank deposits, and generating financial reports.
- Access client accounts (such as online banking and credit card accounts) to monitor transactions, collect data, and download statements.
- Prepare and process payroll for clients regularly.
- Assist in the calculation and preparation of quarterly and monthly tax returns, covering payroll, operating, and business taxes.
- Generate monthly financial statements, encompassing cash flow reports, P&L, trial balance, income statements, and balance sheets.
- Compile tax returns and contribute to the team’s overall success.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and income tax procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with payroll software and local tax return filing, such as e-TIDES.
- Excellent communication abilities with a professional and client-centric approach.
- High attention to detail, coupled with a commitment to accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent is essential. An accounting degree is a plus but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Experience in working with multiple clients and franchises is preferred.
