Job Overview

We are an esteemed and rapidly expanding accounting firm seeking a seasoned Accountant Manager to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee client relationships, meticulously prepare and review financial documentation, and provide strategic tax guidance. We are particularly interested in candidates with a solid accounting and tax preparation background, and familiarity with Lacerte tax software is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses.
• Manage the preparation and filing of diverse tax returns, encompassing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns.
• Conduct in-depth tax research and deliver expert advice on tax planning and compliance strategies.
• Build and nurture enduring client relationships, ensuring their financial objectives are not only met but exceeded.
• Assist clients with IRS audit correspondence and communication.
• Oversee client accounts to facilitate prompt and accurate billing and collections.
• Remain informed on the latest developments in tax and accounting regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to formulate and enforce effective accounting and tax policies and procedures.
• Mentor junior staff members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or EA certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience with an emphasis on tax preparation and accounting services.
• Extensive knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software, notably QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Self-driven with the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
