Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Prepare and submit various tax returns, encompassing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
• Perform tax research and offer strategic guidance to clients regarding tax planning and compliance issues.
• Assist clients with IRS audit inquiries and other tax-related communications.
• Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with clients, ensuring their requirements are addressed with professionalism and expertise.
• Oversee client accounts, guaranteeing timely and precise billing and collections.
• Remain informed on updates in accounting and tax regulations to ensure compliance and optimal practices.
• Collaborate with the team to formulate and implement efficient accounting and tax strategies.
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior staff members.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or EA certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public accounting, with a concentration in tax preparation and accounting services.
• In-depth understanding of tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks; experience with Lacerte is advantageous.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal capabilities.
• Detail-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong client service aptitude with the capacity to convey complex financial information clearly.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
• CPA or EA designation is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant public accounting experience focusing on tax preparation is required.
