Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), general ledger (GL), cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for effective management of financial data.
- Process U.S. payroll through Gusto and oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare and disseminate monthly financial statements and detailed reports for grantors, investors, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist in the formulation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
- Aid in audit preparations, implement recommendations, and streamline procedural efficiencies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for tax-related matters, collaborating closely with external advisors.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements, including tax filings.
- Conduct routine reconciliations to uphold financial accuracy and integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
- CPA certification is preferred (Arizona CPA is a plus!).
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, QuickBooks, and Gusto, with a keen ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance regulations.
