Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients, providing strategic leadership to enhance their financial operations and align with their missions.
- Develop and present financial reports for management and Board decision-making, ensuring precision and transparency.
- Propose and execute enhancements to accounting processes, internal controls, and compliance policies to support client strategies and best practices.
- Oversee critical transactional tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable (encompassing revenue recognition and billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, and month-end closure.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis to facilitate informed financial decision-making.
- Manage grant oversight, fund distributions, and reporting for funding entities.
- Prepare for and supervise annual audits.
- Offer training to clients and staff on best practices in accounting and financial methodologies.
- Strong passion for supporting nonprofit organizations.
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities, with capacity to juggle multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is essential; familiarity with other general ledger systems and electronic payment platforms is advantageous.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a valued asset.
- Experience in a remote or hybrid work setting is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, demonstrating a successful track record in managing multiple clients or projects.
- CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

- Competitive salary within the range of \(90,000 - \)120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
