Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections for residential and commercial claims.
- Engage with policyholders to clarify coverage, evaluate damages, and guide them through the claims process.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Document findings accurately, gather the necessary evidence, and compile comprehensive reports.
- Investigate and adjust claims valued up to $500,000 while adhering to local regulations.
- Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits, considering policy guidelines and industry standards.
- Utilize a mobile office/vehicle for in-person appointments, with flexibility for remote work when applicable.
- Travel within your designated territory, occasionally venturing outside the area as needed.
- Proven experience in property field inspections, ideally within the insurance claims sector.
- Strong understanding of property insurance policies, claims processes, and construction principles.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficient in assessing damages, estimating repair costs, and negotiating settlements.
- Detail-oriented with robust organizational and analytical capabilities.
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and climb ladders; adept at inspecting residential and commercial roofs.
- Valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience in managing complex or high-value claims is a plus.
- Background in construction or water mitigation inspection is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Xactimate and XactContents software is desirable.
- Completion of Rope and Harness Safety Training may be required.
