Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts payable functions, ensuring vendor maintenance and accuracy in processing payments.
- Administer scholarship payments, verifying that funds are credited appropriately to student accounts and liaising with educational institutions when necessary.
- Manage accounts receivable duties, including the issuance of invoices, oversight of outstanding payments, and follow-up on collections.
- Document receivables in the accounting software (Intacct) and ensure efficient processing.
- Facilitate donor relations by preparing and sending tax acknowledgment letters.
- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts and credit card statements to maintain financial integrity.
- Process expense reports and manage credit card receipts for team members.
- Supervise in-kind inventory management and coordinate the distribution of donations.
- Provide general assistance to the Director of Finance & HR and other staff as required.
- A Bachelor's degree is essential, preferably in accounting or finance.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Nonprofit accounting experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with accounting software is highly desirable, specifically Sage Intacct.
- Proficient in Intacct or similar accounting platforms.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Capable of multitasking, prioritizing workloads, and meeting deadlines effectively.
- Self-directed, reliable, and committed to upholding confidentiality and professionalism.
