We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and skilled Bookkeeper to become a vital part of our financial team. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in accounting and bookkeeping, with particular emphasis on inventory management within a remote working environment.
Schedule
- Full-time: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM CST
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the processing of invoices, payments, and the maintenance of customer and vendor accounts to facilitate seamless financial transactions.
- Payroll: Supervise payroll functions for all staff, ensuring punctual and precise compensation.
- Reconciliations: Execute frequent reconciliations to uphold the integrity of financial records.
- Financial Statements: Develop and prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other significant financial documents.
- Sales Tax Reporting: Handle monthly and quarterly sales tax filings to guarantee compliance with regulations.
- Software Management: Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and Excel for daily accounting procedures; experience with Xero is advantageous, and training will be provided.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Excel.
- Familiarity with Xero is a plus.
- Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage various tasks efficiently.
- Experience: 1-2 years in accounting or bookkeeping, particularly focusing on inventory tracking.
- Technical Skills: Strong command of QuickBooks Desktop and Excel; familiarity with Xero is an asset, with training available.
- Education: Preferred background in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related discipline.
- Certifications: QuickBooks certification or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) certification is beneficial but not mandatory.
