Job Title: Senior IT Security Engineer

Location: Remote (within PST hours)

Job Overview

As a Senior IT Security Engineer, you will apply your extensive expertise in information security to develop and implement robust security strategies. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the security framework that not only supports the organization’s growth but also adapts to the evolving technological landscape while ensuring data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT teams to enhance the security posture of applications and systems.
• Implement security tools and capabilities across a distributed global environment.
• Solicit feedback from team members to identify and prioritize security enhancements.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security policies, technologies, and processes.
• Contribute to the formulation of an annual security roadmap that aligns with the overarching Information Security Strategy.
• Develop compelling business cases for the adoption of new technologies and processes.
• Assist management in understanding and mitigating both architectural and operational risks.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in security technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Continuously enhance your professional knowledge and skills in security.
• Assume additional responsibilities as required.
  
  

Required Skills

• In-depth knowledge of information security standards, principles, and practices.
• Proven experience in deploying secure solutions across diverse technologies, including:
• Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions, both SaaS and on-premises.
• Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions (API-based and inline).
• Workstation operating systems (Windows, MacOS).
• Enterprise Digital Rights Management (DRM).
• Office 365 security features.
• Familiarity with:
• Host-based Intrusion Prevention Systems (HIPS).
• Application Security.
• Database Security (Oracle/MySQL).
• Compliance frameworks such as SOX, PCI, ISO 27001.
• Cloud Security Technologies.
• Privacy laws and regulations.
• Ability to assess risk and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to simplify complex security topics.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills to relate technical risks to business impacts.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while prioritizing workload.
• Commitment to confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years concentrated in a security-focused role.
