Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all accounting functions, encompassing billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and present precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of incurred cost proposals in compliance with DCAA regulations.
- Develop and uphold accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to guarantee adherence to GAAP and governmental requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting obligations and tax filings.
- Offer financial analysis and insights to bolster decision-making for senior management.
- Provide guidance on contractual matters, risk management, client specifications, and governmental regulations.
- Identify challenges related to contract administration and proposals, and recommend effective solutions.
- Extensive experience in federal government contracting.
- Profound understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Familiarity with the UNANET Accounting System is an advantage.
- Proven track record in preparing financial statements and managing month-end, year-end, and contract closeout processes.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, including at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Preferred extensive experience with federal government contracting.
