Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our fractional CFO to establish annual budgeting processes and provide recommendations for comprehensive financial plans across the organization.
  • Develop and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews, ensuring clear communication of performance metrics and organizational objectives.
  • Create financial forecasts and investigate trends in sales, finance, and operations to enhance overall business performance.
  • Conduct thorough quantitative and qualitative assessments of operational effectiveness, adjusting strategies to align with business goals.
  • Analyze revenue and expenditure patterns, collaborating with the Controller and CFO to deliver actionable insights.
  • Examine financial statements for budget discrepancies, offering explanations and strategies for addressing negative variances.
  • Formulate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other financial metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to refine the monthly accounting close process through effective trend analysis.
  • Perform return on investment (ROI) evaluations for client initiatives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in an independent, remote work setting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, ensuring prompt engagement through email and Slack.
  • Strong attention to detail, guaranteeing accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Well-organized, proficient in Google Drive, and knowledgeable about financial systems.
  • Dependable internet connection suitable for remote work.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • A positive and collaborative mindset, excelling in a friendly and people-centered culture.

Qualifications

  • A relevant bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Experience in a marketing agency environment is a significant advantage.
