Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire billing cycle for designated attorneys and clients.
- Examine and code time entries to ensure accuracy and alignment with firm policies.
- Prepare, proofread, and submit invoices in accordance with client agreements and ethical standards.
- Track and oversee outstanding accounts receivable, including follow-up on overdue invoices.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and client inquiries professionally.
- Support attorneys and legal personnel with billing-related issues.
- Keep abreast of legal billing regulations and best practices.
- Maintain expertise in Aderant software and other relevant billing tools.
- Undertake additional tasks as required to assist the billing department.
- Minimum of 5 years of legal billing experience within a law firm environment.
- Proficiency in Aderant legal billing software is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferable.
- Comprehensive understanding of legal billing ethics, regulations, and intricate billing structures.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, and colleagues.
- Capability to manage multiple billing accounts efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is an advantage.
