Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research to guarantee compliance with state and federal payroll regulations
- Manage state payroll tax registrations and uphold compliance across various jurisdictions
- Develop and implement policies regarding garnishments and payroll advancements
- Process payroll adjustments while maintaining precise payroll records
- Prepare governmental reports and reconcile payroll data across integrated systems
- Execute variance analysis and address payroll discrepancies
- Assist with accruals and reconcile the sub-ledger to the general ledger
- Offer backup support to other members of the payroll team when necessary
- Utilize accounting software systems and ADP Workforce for payroll and benefits administration
- Perform payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
- At least 3 years of experience in payroll analysis or a comparable role
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (Oracle preferred)
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce is advantageous
- Comprehensive understanding of multi-state payroll tax regulations
- Excellent auditing skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work autonomously
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
